Story
My journey to purpose driven growth
My journey into coaching and consulting has been shaped by a combination of corporate experience, growing my own startup, and all the personal and work related learnings along the way. My approach is rooted in values-driven growth, guiding individuals and businesses through a purpose driven focus and intentional execution. But to understand why I do what I do, it’s important to know my story.
I grew up in Switzerland, surrounded by stability, a strong educational system, and a supportive family. This foundation - a privilege I deeply acknowledge - gave me the space to explore and grow. My early career at Swiss Re, starting with a commercial apprenticeship, instilled in me a “Swiss” work ethic and an understanding of corporate environments. I spent another nine years at Swiss Re’s CSR department, a dynamic and emerging department that demanded innovative thinking, creativity and resourcefulness. Our small team built global employee engagement programs, international partnerships and eventually, the Swiss Re Foundation. It fueled my passion for creating meaningful impact and allowed me to develop a strong sense of integrity under the guidance of exceptional leaders and mentors.
While my managers always demanded excellence, they supported my ambitions. I was able to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, which required attendance at evenings and weekends outside of an already packed work schedule. A six month exchange program at UCSD was a welcome change of scenery and I realized how different student life can be (my proficiency in surfing and partying certainly grew exponentially).
However, my most transformative experience was a six-month Swiss Civilian Service mission in rural Cambodia with Bookbridge. This experience shifted my perspective on life. How less can be more (and better) and that my real privilege is not a cozy corporate job, but the opportunity to go out into this world and play. It sparked a desire to explore and challenge the status quo.
So at 28 years of age and after 12 years at Swiss Re, I made the leap to San Francisco to pursue a master’s degree in social entrepreneurship. During the program, I co-founded a company with two fellow students, with the mission of making people run for a good cause. What started as an idea grew into something bigger - over seven years, we built and scaled a platform for impactful employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives. We partnered with hundreds of businesses, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, and raised millions for nonprofits through thousands of campaigns.
Growing a startup really was the equivalent of a rollercoaster ride. There were incredible highs - seeing the real-world impact we created and clients loving our product - and brutal lows, as we navigated the challenges of growth, fundraising, and leadership. I learned the importance of resilience, perseverance, and the power of a dedicated team believing in a cause bigger than themselves. The Bay Area was the perfect backdrop for this journey - an environment of radical innovation, bold ideas, and an unshakable belief in pushing boundaries. It was an immersion into challenging narratives and seemingly unattainable visions - often brilliant, often chaotic, always thought-provoking. Beyond business, San Francisco also had a unique culture of self-improvement, spirituality, and personal growth, some of which deeply influenced my own evolution.
When the company was taken over, I finally had a chance to step back and reflect. What I realized was that the most fulfilling part of my journey was helping people grow.
Looking back, I am most proud of the deep connections I built with my team. Through the ups and downs, I found my greatest joy in mentoring my employees, helping them believe in themselves, and creating a culture where we thrived together. I also loved the process of implementing structured systems - holding the team accountable while enabling them to grow in a way that aligned with their strengths and purpose.
Another big lesson I learned was the importance of intentionality. In the startup world, you push - every day, relentlessly. And while the resilience, the dedication, and the “push” you execute is a lesson I am grateful for, it’s easy to overlook the moments where life is pulling us in a different direction - something I only recognized when I finally stepped back.
My “pull” was evident. Over the years, friends and peers had come to me organically for guidance, seeking my insights on leadership, personal growth, and business strategy. This realization led me to mentoring, coaching, and consulting. I began to develop a structured process - one that blends my corporate background, startup experience, and personal philosophy. Today, I use this process to help individuals and businesses find clarity, set meaningful goals, and execute with intention.
I am passionate about helping individuals and businesses discover their compass, chart their map, and embark on a journey of purpose-driven growth. My approach is rooted in my core values of integrity, simplicity, authenticity, and growth. If you’re seeking clarity, alignment, and meaningful growth, whether personally or in your business, I’d love to help you navigate that journey.
